Triumphal Arch

Saddam Hussein constructed the triumphal arches to commerate his victory over Iran during the Iran-Iraq war. The duplicate arches mark the entrances to the parade grounds in Baghdad. The arches were cast from the metal of dead Iranian soldier's rifles. The forearms and hands are modelled from photographs of Saddam Hussein. The bases of the arms are surrounded by thousands of Iranian helmets.
